Arrow I just want to add my name to the NEWBs List

Greetings everyone:

I am so new I have not even started to scrap yet. I actually joined this forum and a Yahoo group before my daughter was born in May with all intents on learning this before she came into the world. Little did I know how much work a newborn can be. LOL She just turned 3 months. I am hoping that soon she will be able to amuse herself just a little bit to give me some free time to do something for myself and to help me relax.

I really need a starting point with digi-scrapping, just some thing easy to start with. Not easy in the sense of the use of my photo editing software as I have been using PSP for over 3 years now - I currently use V8, but in the actual scrap booking stuff. I have never done any scrap booking in my life so I am at a loss there. The most creative thing I have been able to accomplish with PSP since she has arrived is just to resize my photos of her to send to family and friends! I miss my creative outlet!!!

OMG I just got an email in the mail that PSP 9 is about to be released. I am foaming at the mouth to get my hands on that puppy! LOL

Anne Marie
Ok I will be quiet now. I look forward to getting to know you all and will totally appreciate any and all the help that is given to me.

Welcome back Anne Marie! Yep- no matter how many kids you have- they take up all of your time-LOL!

There is a forum for PSP- so you might want to check that out- if you haven't already

And of course the gallery is always fun to get ideas from!

Have fun and congrats on your little one!

In the scrapbooking world, they have what they call a 'scraplift' which is when you copy someone else's layout as much or as little as you'd like. I think this would be a good way for you to get your feet wet and to learn how to scrap. Choose someone in the gallery whose work you admire, and go for it! You can find hundreds of elements for free in our Elements gallery, so be sure to check there for duplicate or close-to-it elements to use in your scraplift.

While it's not necessary just for posting purposes, it's always nice to let the person you're scraplifting know that you have chosen to do so. Almost everyone is flattered by the compliment.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
