CD contents organization???

Am I just too AR, or has anyone wanted to, or has already done, organized their CD contents and printed off an index per se so then you know what's on each CD, so when you're looking for that perfect element or background paper you don't have to insert each CD??? (even though I do have 2 CD burners, it's still a pain to scan each CD in search of....) Is there an EASY way to do this (do a print out)? Any ideas?
Thanks. ~ Amy Phelps

Amy, the site owner, and Jacq, an HDTM, have both done this, so there is hope!

i do this it's easy with ps in the file option you just go down to automation and select contact sheet 2 and then the folder you want them to come from which would be the cd then the size and specifics you want to show on the contact sheet like file name and then you can save it or print it

i haven't printed mine out yet but i just found my binder wiht all the plastic sheet protectors so i'm going to print them in a few days i'm sure

good luck!

Yes, I have two binders [!] full of contact sheets with my elements. One contains the index files of my 14 CDs and the other contains all my categorised downloaded elements.

It took me a few hours in total to round up all the thumbnails using the PhotoImpact Album program, that came with PhotoImpact. However, there are plenty of other batch thumbnail programs out there that can do something similar. The only suggestion I can make is ensure the thumbnail software can go into subfolders and pull out thumbnails automatically, if that matches the way you file your elements.

Great idea. Another duh moment. I use Epson's Film Factory for my digital photo storage, and they have the contact sheet option as well. DIdn't think of using it that way, but it will work! Thanks ladies! ~ Amy Phelps
