I've already gone through this with CK mag customer service, who I believe are the same guys!

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!

Oh, that feels better. So I subscribed about 3 months ago. I'm still waiting to get my first mag. Meanwhile issues are appearing in the stores. Do I buy them? SS mag took my money ages ago but still nothing. So I write to them and wait. I wait. I wait. I write some more. I wait, I wait.

They finally sent me a reply saying the mag that I finally broke down and bought is the first in my subscription and is on its way!!! So I wrote back telling them how frustrating this is - I don't want that mag, I already own it! I waited 4 weeks to buy the darn thing so that they had a chance to reply to me! ARG!

So now I continue to wait. And wait. Will I get this useless issue? Will they fix my subscription? I will NEVER subscribe to SS or CK again. When I eventually get service, it is just awful. It took me 6 tries to get a replacement mag after July's CK arrived looking like someone had wiped the floor with it!

Thank you for letting me vent guys... now back to sunshine and lollypops....

Oh no, Jacq! I am starting to get the urge to actually subscribe to SS and your woes don't make me want to run right out and give them money. Have you tried calling or emailing them instead? I know a paper trail can be reassuring and good documentation but maybe talking to an actual person would make you feel better. From their website it looks like this is their contact info 866-334-8149 or simplescrapbooks@palmcoastd.com. And yes, SS is under the CK umbrella.

My father in law has called - repeatedly. [He bought me the subscriptions]
It made no difference!

Well, their subscriptions seem to be managed by Primedia. I can't remember which of the magazines that I did subscribe to that Primedia supported but they were horrible. So it's not you. Hmm... guess I'll think about subscribing to a different sb mag instead.

Even if you have a SS subscription (and you actually start receiving it unmolested!) do you have to buy the digi-scrapping issue seperate? That's a special issue right?!?! Just talking myself out of subscribing.

I know it's less expensive to purchase a subscription over buying them in the store, but I refuse to do it anymore with ANY magazine. I'm pretty anal about the condition of the mags and books I buy. I won't buy it if it has the slightest wrinkled page or if the spine looks "cracked" from someone having already looked at it. Soooo...I can't even begin to trust the post office to bring it to me in pristine condition. Good luck!
