COMPLAIN all of you COMPLAIN and dont' stop until you get the service that you deserve you should AT least recieve the mags around the same time they are available to the public at stores and they should be shipped to you in reasonable condition. some mags proide a plastic sleeve for theres for shipping but a lot don't and they do get wear and tear in the postal system and usualy the PO says " my bad" sorry lol

but there are some things that the company has control over and if enough people are unhappy with the company that handles their subscriptions then maybe we'll see a change? i suppose that this is the reason i don't subscribe i've never had any luck with mag subscriptions.

Good luck to you all and maybe take names and email addy's and make one big list of a complaint as well

Angry

Typical isn't it, companies get bigger because of their popularity - they forget WHO made them popular and start treating not so nicely.

It is definitely a bad advertisement if they can't get their act together and at least send the current mag. when it IS current.

Customer Service is a big decider for me when buying anything-if I've had bad treatment/service previously I don't ever buy from them again. People are too accepting of bad service nowadays.

Maybe all of you who are thinking of buying a subscription should e-mail the SS customer service with the reasons TO BUY or NOT TO BUY based on what you've read about them. O.K. it may not change anything but at least you will have vented your frustrations at wanting to buy the subscription but not wanting to in case it doesn't work out as expected. After all who wants to read last months magazine when the current issue is in the shops!!

I had the same problem with CK - I had to wait forever for my first issue. I repeatedly emailed them and called them, only to be told it was on its way. I finally received no less than 4 copies of the 1st issue!! Then, and I don't know if they are doing this especially for me because I was so persistent (translation: pain in the you-know-what LOL!) but I seem to get my issues early. I got my July and August issues in mid-May and mid-June respectively! Still gets me mad that we have to pay extra for an special issues - seems like that should be included in your subscription price.

I share your pain !!!

We have gone through the same thing but it is worse. Mick ordered a subscription for me for a Christmas gift and it never arrived. He forgot about it totally and I never knew it was supposed to be coming so neither of us contacted them. Around February I hinted at him to buy me a subscription for Valentine's Day and ribbed him about not buying it for me for Christmas. He was reminded that he did in fact buy it for Christmas and he contacted them. They wanted him to provide proof of payment with a credit card statement. We don't have our statements mailed to us since we use online banking and the bank only displays so many months back. The order was placed too many months back to be visible. My husband (being the busy guy that he is) just gave up and ordered it again. We paid for it twice! To make matters worse. I got my first issue from them, mailed in May after waiting months to finally receive it after the 2nd order.

I would really like to have CK but I am growing more and more convinced that Primedia has got to be the most disorganized company going. Last year's digital issue was a real confusing mess and this year is proving to be equally disorganized, from my experience with them.

It is extremely frustrating! Sorry to hear you are having a time with them Jacquel, but I am not surprised.
