I found this tut to be easy on creating plaid, it does require filters, but I like the fact I can use my images to make the plaid then use the image on topof the plaid or tear etc...

I finally figured out (after 3 hours) today, that I had to reverse the contour/path to get the text running the way I wanted. Phew!! For making tartan/plaid I bought the Plaidlite plug in (cost £10.00 GBP), you can use that to create tartan from any image therefore making the colour matching easy. I love it, but it is the easy option.

Red face

Organza ribbon and bows would be excellent. Thanks for asking.

Thank you everyone for your great responses. I will look into doing a ribbon and bow tutorial. Anna does a great montage and overlay tutorial! I have done it and it is awesome! Any other ideas about specific things in PSP 8 let me know in this forum or pm me.

Sandy

PSP8 Tutorial Request

I am nuts about handmade paper. Tandika has some beauties posted in elements and she has a great tutorial but it is for Photoshop. I have tried to do it in PSP8 but not completely sucessful. If you could either post your own or do a translation of Tandika's I would be extremely grateful.

I have some pointers from some people but am always on the prowl for more. I have not been able to gather anything off the net except for two and neither is completely acceptable albeit I am always thankful when people try to share their experience.

Plaids

Here is an easy plaid that doesn't require a plug-in:

Also, one day I had a picture up and I went to pattern. I just kept clicking the random button to see what it would do. I was surprised when the picture turned into a plaid. Here is a link to to my homework page where I used the result in a layout:
