I went through a finding the best paper kind of craze a while ago and I found what I thought was the best paper at a very good price and it was waterproof too. I have tons and I mean tons of paper here. Then I found a really big draw back when I entered 5 of my photos in the fair. One of them faded to a greenish tint under the floressent lights, I was lucky because the judging had finished before then but I was very emberresed that it was so green. I then went crazy looking into why this happened with 1 but not the other 4. As it turns out you really should stick with the paper that your printer company puts out, the ink is made to last with it. The cheaper your paper the quicker it will fade. Kodak is an ok alternative to most if the printer brand papers it is pretty universal. I pretty much stick to HP papers for my printer now and tend to buy in bulk to cut down on the cost, I also use a spray protectant on my photos to help protect them, give them a longer life, and it even help bring out the colors that much more.
