New Here! Some questions....

When making pages, do you generally stick to making them look as much like "the real thing" or do you ever combine traditional scrapbooking techniques with digital imagery, like faded edges on photos etc..?

I know it's to each their own, but what's the general consensus?

Also, I am currently using Picture It! (came with my laptop!) but I also have PSPro 7 on my other computer - though I am not very good with it yet. Would I be wise to spend more time learning PSP or do you think I can get by using Picture It! (I find it very easy!)?

Sorry Kats - but I am quietly laughing at the idea there is a general consensus!

In other words we have soooo many varied styles here, and digital scrapping lends itself to such a huge variety of scrapbooking techniques that there is no universal style!

Some of us like our layouts to look very modern and similar to magazine adverts. Some of us like to mimic paper scrapping effects. Some of us like to do both and some of us do both within the same layouts!

If you are anything like me, pretty soon you'll find Picture It is too confining and you will really want to branch out with another program. If you are using PSP then you'll find there are so many tutorials out there to guide you along your way!

The sky's the limit!
