Hi all! I'm trying to scrap an album of pictures from two years ago when I was in the Miss Missouri USA pageant. I would really like to keep a coherent theme throughout the album, because a lot of the pictures are similiar (just me and other pageant girls, or me with celebs, or some of the modeling shots). I also don't have much to journal because 1) I hate journaling and 2) I haven't kept in touch with people in the photos so I really don't have anything to say about them. SO, I'm really having problems coming up with some sort of theme I could carry throughout the album. I'm thinking maybe along the lines of stars, or girly pastel colors, or something like that. If it's any help, the theme was "Watch Me Shine".

I'll take any and all suggestions and input!

You could try a star theme, you know, watch me "shine." There are lots of star elements available.

I would stick with a color theme. That way you are not worrying about putting the same stars or whatever on each page. Either pick your own favorite colors, or pick colors that are consistent in all the photos!

Hmm... I would say use black backgrounds with an accent color or two if it's just mostly posed photos of you and the other contestants standing together. I think that would be the best way to make it look classy and professional (and have a theme) unless you have several silly photos that you want to include. I think having a 'Watch Me Shine' theme, or something like that, might be too much and make your experience look cheesy or play on the stereotype others might have of pageant participants.

I would really encourage you, with my journaling bias, to at least include your experience on the first and last pages of your album and use the rest of the album for the photos.
