This may sound dumb, but in PSP 7 pr 8, I have both, how do I use the downloaded elements off of the site? If I say open the poem stones png file , or an alphabet file, or even one of the metallic font frames when the word to put in the box are spereate, how do I choose only the ones I want on my layout? and do I import then or open a new file. I really know absolutely nothing. I tried the tutorials and and help files, but didn't find anything to help with this one.
Also where would I find the area in PSP to choose patterns on a background or tag or border? or to change the size and shape of selection tools and stuff? It was there the first time I opened it, but now it disappered on me and try as I might I cannot find it...

I use photoshop, but used to use PSP. It has been a while but I think I remember this. Use your lasso (freeform style) marqee to select the element you want (if there is more than one on the file) and then right click, copy. Then on your page, right click paste to layer. I think, I hope. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. -Ali

To see the Tool Options box, go to View and click on Tool Bars (in PSP7 it is the last one on the View Menu. Make sure Tool Option Palette is checked. Then you will be able to see the patterns and other things.
