Too Big

I was going to upload a page that I did and it said that it is too big. How do I save it so that it is the right size to share. (I finally get the nerve to share and I can't!) Figures!

Saving in PSP 8.1 for upload

I use PSP 8.1 (since January 2004) and it has been a huge learning curve so far for me. Here is how I save files for upload.

When you are sure you have completed your LO, Merge/Flatten all layers. I then copy the LO and paste as a new image. (this way you will still have a full-sized version of LO). When you have pasted the copy as new image go to Image-Resize.
At the bottom of the window, tick box for Smart size, Lock Aspect Ratio and Resize all layers.

In Print Size change resolution to 72.000 pixel/inch
In Pixel dimensions for a 12 x 12 LO I change pixels to 600.
Click OK. Tiny version of LO appears.

Go to File - Export - JPEG Optimiser. You will see uncompressed bytes size and compressed bytes size. To size it to under 125 kb allowed for posting, move the compression value bar until you get kb size you want. Click o.k.
I save my LO's for upload in a folder "web PSP" cos it makes it easier to find. Hope this helps but if not "holler" and help will arrive.

I still have loads to learn about PSP but the following two sites I have found very helpful.

Good luck
Jules
