Unhappy How do you organize your photos?

I have just started and my computer is a MESS! Here's what I've got . . .
all my picutures on my hard drive. Copies on Photoshop Album as well as scrapped pictures in Album saved for Web format. On my hard drive I also have two copies of my scrapped pictures (psd and jpeg). It's organized by folder, but one folder that I took about 20 pictures now has triple that many. Do you delete any originals or do you save them to cd/dvd? I have a dvd burner, so that is an option, I just am stuttering around trying to figure out the best way to do this . . .
Hope it makes sense.
Nancy

I save my original photoshop files in case I need to change something later. I delete the JPGs after posting and printing, b/c I have no need for them after that and I can always make another later. I save mine to a CD once I collect a bunch of them. I don't have a dvd burner (its on my list!), but I would use that since you can fit more on there. -Ali

Forgot about the photos! I don't use a program to organize mine. In the folder MY PICTURES, I have a folder for each month and then seperate folders for special events and photo shoots. Probably not the most organized but it works for me. I do a web page to share photos with family and I make duplicate JPGS for web use and to email. After I am done I usually delete the duplicate web versions with in a week, just to make sure I didn't miss something or so I can correct a boo-boo. I save my web versions in a file name FOR WEB and keep it in the folder with the originals until deleted. Pretty basic system, but easy and uncomplicated with no software to fool with. -Ali

I save my photos according to month and special occasion and burin them to DVD on a monthly basis. I have 2 folders for my layouts. I keep the originals in one which is useful for changes and refering back to the name of font I used for example. I keep the jpeg version in the other.
Unlike Ali I don't delete them - Basically I'm too lazy
