Help with MS Picture It! (Please!)

I want to change some of the colors of the text on my layout. I have the text that i want to change on a layer all by itself, and I'm moving the little ball on the color wheel, but it's changing all the layers of text, not just the one i want to change. What am I doing wrong?

also, how do i customize a color if i'm not finding the exact color i need? it gives me the options of basic colors and "more colors" but still not a true custom tool, or maybe i'm just not finding it. HELP!

amy

Hi Amy
Sorry I am only just seeing this, If you put PIP questions in the Picture It folder I will find it quicker : )
It certainly should not be changing all the text if you have it in its own text box..have you got all the text boxes grouped or selected perhaps? When you are using change colours with fill with colour it will change whatever is selected not just a highlighted portion. Using the font colour selector means you can highlight one word in the text box and just change the colour of that.
When you use More colours you can type in the values or click on the colour grid but if you are trying to match a specific colour in a layout then you should use Fill with colour or texture> More colours and use the eyedropper tool to select the colour from your photo or element or whatever.
Hope some ofthis helps..if not feel free to ask again
