Question preset shape question for PSP

How do I change the colors for the preset shapes? I love the way the little lines look, but no matter what I do, they will only show up black. I've looked under the help menu, but I still can't get it to work. For instance, what if I have a black bg, and want white or bright pink boxes or shapes? Please tell me how to do this. Thanks in advance.

You are using PSP 8??

Your forground will be the outline colour and your background will be the fill, so just adjust the one you want to change.

Also are you creating it as a vector shape, is your vector shape ticked??

I have attached a little screen capture I did, showing you what is what. I hope it helps.

I have PSP 8 installed.

I finally figured out how to do it. In the layers pallate, there is a little plus. When I click it, it shows what's inside the layer, and it will say the shape I've made. For example, it will say rectangle. If I double click that box, it brings up another box. I can then adjust everything. The color, width of, and style of the shape. I found that it automatically defaults to a thin black line. I've now been able to get all kinds of lines in all kinds of colors. I LOVE this feature. I think it makes the l.o's so artsy. Anyway, hopefully this makes sense, and helps somebody else out.
