Making a Coffee Table Book

Hey everyone...I was just wondering if anyone on here would be interested in information on how to get your layouts printed into a coffee table book? I have a found a company that will do it for a very reasonable price, and they can be full bleed (picture will be printed edge to ednge instead of having a white border around the edges). They are professionally bound with high quality linen hard covers and I am just so excited about this! I am currently making a book like this for my parents for their 30th wedding anniversary, but was wanting to send my business to this company if people were interested in the informaiton.

Is this something that some of ya'll would be interested in? The price is reasonable I think at $39.99 for 20 pages (or 10 double page spreads) printed back to back with a linen cover and a customized photo on the front of the book.

Let me know and I will post more information. If not..that's ok I just wanted to pass on the information if someone wanted it.

-Kelly

That is great!!

If anyone finds something like this in South Africa, please let me know.

I print out my layouts myself, so I get that yukky border, but it works for now. I then laminate the layout, and then when I have enough to make a little book, I get it binded with a document binder. Probably not the best way, but it works for me, and does not empty my purse too much.

Ok Here is the information on this company. If you go get one done let them know I sent you! (Actually..I don't know if there is anywhere to even put that down..I just told the president of the company that I was going to tell my digital scrapbooking friends becuase I was so excited about this being offered!!!)

The website address for the company is http://www.sharedink.com . It's free to set up an account and get designing. The way you would do your scrapbook pages is design them to their full bleed page standards which is:

* Format your images to be 10.75" x 8.25".
* When designing/formatting your pages, please keep them flexible at the edges to give us room for trimming. In this full bleed case, 0.25" on the left ( or the right depending on which side of the page it is printed on) will bleed into the spine. Also, 0.125" will be physically trimmed from the top, bottom and right sides as well.

* pages saved at 300dpi.

The finished book block (after trimming) measures 10.625" x 8.0".

Also, full bleed pages aren't something that they promote to the general public usually, but I specifically asked them if it was possible and it is. They said I could share this information with my digital scrapbooking buddies on how to get a full bleed page. They said to please after signing up for an account just send an e-mail to support@sharedink.com requesting that full-bleed mode be enabled. And, when you do so, you will also receive back the page formatting instructions with more details then the ones I listed above.

I hope that this helps and that this can be of use to someone!!!
I would love to send this company a lot of business as they have been SO extremly nice to work with and have answered my NUMEROUS questions VERY quickly (sometimes within 10 minutes in email!!!!) I think that they deserve to have their company grow, and if it does that can only mean more products they can offer us at reasonable prices!

Thanks for the info Kelly!
Good price- when you consider that you have to pay for an album and then min $2 per page anyway!

Let us know when you receive your book and how you like it!

Hi Kelly- Just reading this post and I am very interested. I was wondering if you have actually received your book yet and how it looks. Sounds almost too good to be true. Hope it worked out well for you. If so, I may hop on it myself. Thanks Cindy
