How to Journal with a Tablet

I'd like to try handwriting on my layouts. But don't know how.
I have a Graphire4, Digital Image Pro and PaintShopPro PhotoXI. My layouts are done in DIP, very new to PSP.
Suggestions appreciated.
Dee

I don't know how to use a tablet, but I do know that Darcy Baldwin will make your handwriting into a font for a reasonable price, then you can use your handwriting anytime with or without a tablet. Here is the link to her store:

I'm sure someone with a tablet here can also help you

Hi Dee
You can use your tablet with DIP.. assuming your tablet is set up already and you dont need help with that, in DIP use the paint brush at a very narrow setting (eg 3-5px) and simply write away - it might take some practice but it's as simple as that

The same thing that Shelleyrae said for DIP works in PSP also.
another method that is a little easier to control is to write out your journaling on a piece of paper and scan it at 300ppi, adjust the Black & White balance to get it true B&W then it is easy to select the Black and remove the white. Save it as a .png and use it on your LO.

What I've done in the past is make a layered file with the bottom layer having lines spaced the way I want so my writing will be somewhat straight. If I'm going to have it be in a specific area I'll make another layer with that outlined. Then on the top layer I write just like I would on a piece of paper. I will do it this way because I don't want to mess up my layout. Otherwise I'll make sure I've save my layout to that point and then just freeform writing.
