I love acdsee pro 2

Since I just got a new laptop running vista, I had to upgrade acdsee. I have to say that I am loving it. Much easier to work with. Of course, that could just be the difference in performance between the old pc and the laptop.

Anyone else upgrade to pro 2 yet?

you had to upgrade because ACDSee 10 (or what you had) wasn't Vista compatible? Can you tell me what the differences are?

I had acdsee pro before and it wasn't vista compatible. At least it didn't work on my new laptop.

Well, I find it much easier to make photo cd's and update the photo cd's. I didn't use pro much because it took forever to try to make a photo cd and my desktop wasn't the fastest thing on earth, lol. The look of it is different, too. It's sleek and black. And, i don't know if pro could do this, too, but when you mouse-over a pic, it blows up an outset of the picture for you to see better.

Thanks for the info. I saw the interface and it's very much like Lightroom.

Pro 2 offers in program RAW editing which - while it has some room to grow for batch work - is really nice. If you work in RAW - and more specifically DNG - then Pro 2 offers you that as well.

As a DAM tool - it is far better than Lightroom.. As a RAW editor - well - it's pretty good but the pin point accuracy of Lightroom and the batch capabilities of LR blow it out of the water.

I'm on the panel to beta Pro 3 so I'm hopeful many of these items will be fixed/enhanced the next time around.

A great upgrade though if you need a RAW editor.
