Marcee, I don't know of anything right off the top of my head, but if I see anything like that I'll sure let you know!

For a similar project once, I just went to my local library and found old copies of the catalogs.. very cool!!! If your library doesn't have them, let me know what you want and maybe I can scan some in for you and send them your way... Also, i just did a quick search for sears + old + catalogs and tons popped up!!!

I remember when I was in college I spent much time procrastinating in the university library looking at old magazines and checking out the advertisements and old articles. They had a bunch of old popular magazines bound in their periodical floor. (So much for studying & doing research like I was supposed to be doing!!!) If you have a university close by, you might be able to check in their periodical section and color copy some of the pages to scan in at home.

Actually...that sounds like a pretty good idea...I might just have to do that myself!!

70's and 80's nostalgia

Hi there,
I've searched around the internet and came up with a few interesting links, which may be of interest...

www.nostalgiacentral.com - have sections on 70's and 80's including pictures of products/movies/pop bands etc. ALso lots of interesting facts.

www.stuckinthe70s.com - great fun site, with loads of stuff. Magazines fromthe 70's tv shows, collectibles... You could spend hours here...

www.classictvshop.com - another great fun place to hang out - you can buy collectibles from the 60s, 70's and 80's. Just pick a show from the list and it shows you pics and products you can buy. You can just copy and paste the pictures, like The A-team, Andy Griffiths, I Love Lucy, etc. Check out the Commercials section too - loads of fun stuff here that will bring you right back to those days.

If nothing else, these sites will certainly get you inthe 70's groove and bring those memories flooding back. Have fun.
Eileen
