Question PSE3 Organizer question

I use CS2 for scrapping, but I use PSE3's Organizer to keep track of my pictures and all of my digiscrapping stuff. My question is this:

Since I'm so terrible about importing things into the Organizer on a regular basis.... Is there an easier way to set it up to import things directly into it when I download?

(Did that make sense?) To clarify, take today for example. I told it to find pictures by doing a search. This naturally searches for and finds EVERYTHING that is a graphic (PDF documents, icons, logos, etc.) then once it is done importing everything I will have to go back through it and remove probably 1/2 of what it imported because it's not photo/scrapbook related.

The only other way I know is to go and import things folder by folder, which is a long process. There must be an easier way!! Especially since sometimes I will add items to an existing folder (I have my folders organized by designer's name).

Well I found a some info in the tutorials but it wasn't very helpful. Basically just walks you through importing pictures and tagging them, which I can already do. Sigh. I wish it was easier! The trouble is that my watched folders weren't set right (I think?) I deleted the library and started over. Arg!!

this is one of the reasons why I do not like programs that automatically add things to a catalog - I like the ability to seperate browsing from cataloging and PSE just doesn't cut it. If you have CS2, you might just use bridge... it will allow you to search without "cataloging" since it isn't a catalog program.. but you can add/search keywords... depending on your HD speeds, it may be just as fast as a catalog program.

I hate the organizer in PSE so I disabled mine. I hate that it wants to download everytime I stick a CD or flash drive in. So I guess I can't help you.

You can turn this off by changing your autoplay settings using TweakUI... then, when you stick one of these items in, it will not automatically load the download module. It's really easy and important that you control what happens when you autoplay...
