replacing my motherboard

A tech is coming tomorrow to replace the motherboard on my new laptop. I've been having trouble keep my AC adapter connected and this is the solution. I'm going to back up all my important files on my computer, but I'm kinda nervous. Please make me feel better . . .

It is a simple procedure when done by a technician who has been trained to fix that brand.
Mine was replaced shortly after getting my computer in hopes to fix my flakey USB ports.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Smart to have a trained tech do it for you. I'm sure it will all be fine.

Lol good luck As long as you've backed up it will be smooth sailing! PS - check your backed up discs just to make sure they all burned properly

Replacing the motherboard should not affect the drive at all. Just remember to backup things like your favorites.

Okay..... I know it's stressful having your computer worked on when it contains things which can't be replaced! But ya know what? I thought the subject said "Replacing my motherhood" and I was wondering what you were using to fill the motherhood gap!! ROFLOL
Hmmm you look a bit young for empty nesting, but I would guess that gap will be filled by digiscrapping?

LOL Dawn. Yes I do have those days - especially with a 3-year-old - but that would leave quite a large void in my life. After all, who would I have to wake me at 4:30 a.m. to play!

I had my motherboard replaced. The person who did it was great. Since this was an emergency, I did not have time to back anything up. I don't think I lost anything. The only problem I had was he forgot to reset the clock so when I tried to access anything secure, it wouldn't work. Once I got that figured out, all was great.
