Photoshop Seminars

Just wondering if anyone has done the Photoshop seminars. They've always been on my kids' birthdays before, but this one's in May so I'm considering going. Are these any good? The one that is here is the Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour/KelbyTraining.

I've never done one either - there always seems to be a conflict but I've heard that Kelby is the best.

They aren't bad... granted, you can learn just about the same amount by searching the internet via Google for anything you really need to learn.. but if you learn better by hearing and watching someone, it's not bad.

Kelby is pretty good.... CS4 is just around the corner though...

This is a very good point and certainly something I would take into consideration before shelling out an big $$$$.

Too new to Photoshop to know. But a benefit for registering PSCS3 when I got it was the lynda.com video tutorials for thirty days. Loving the learning available there!

lynda.com aren't bad either... they are pricey after the free 30 days though and again you can find almost all you need via Google... and the fine folks here!

I think it is best for us scrapbookers to have input from fellow scrappers....a lot of the Photoshop stuff is graphics for professional web designers, photographers, etc. I have a close friend who designs web sites and we don't have a lot in common to discuss. Like apples & oranges, both are round fruit, but.....
I have a Scott Kelby book on "Killer Tips" and that is way more fun! and cheaper!!!!
