12" Digital Frame..these are cool!

Its my mums 60th birthday next week and I was racking my brain on what to get her.
I ran across this last night

Digital Photo Frame - Large 30cm (12.1") Screen - Built-in Speakers - Plays Music and Video
http://www.oo.com.au/Digital_Photo_F..._P5111C742.cfm

This is an Aussie site (so Aussie $- yes things are much more expensive here lol) - but it wil be perfect as i can load all my layouts on the USB and the proportions wil be right - cant wait til it gets here!

Wow. . .12 inches! I've seen them around here at about 7 or 8 inches. Sounds like the perfect gift--and you can keep changing the photos!

That's awesome! I have one, but it's rectangular and a bit smaller.

not bad.. but the resolution of the screen is kinda low for viewing photos. Also, remember to resize all the image too 600x800 so they fit the screen properly.. having the wrong ratio will lead to distorted images. Nice size screen though!

Thanks Pesto, the screens with resolution only marginally higher (and name brand) were also three times as expensive. I got it yesterday afternoon and I am really happy with the display and my mum will love it!
Now if only i could have one!
