Question about MS Picture It

I hope I am posting this in the right forum. Can someone tell me , when you open a blank document to work in, does it matter what size you make it? I mean, should I make it 8.5 x 11 if that is what size i am going to print? Or if I want to print a 3 x 8.5 border, shoule I do all of the work in that size? Or does the size just matter when you are actually working on the document? TIA, I am struggling to learn computer scrapping!

You dont have to Nance but it makes things easier to. otherwise when you print your final page you may find it doesn't look right or the sizing is slightly off.

Thanks ShelleyRae, I was wondering because it seems so much easier to work in a bigger size. I did not know if it would have any effect on what I printed.

I have one more question (well, one more for now!), anyway I hope it is not a dumb question. I have Picture It Photo Premium. Can you tell me if I need to have the CD in the computer when I use it? I usually don't put the CD in, I thought that all that the CD had was backgrounds and clipart. Is there any other reason to put it in, like maybe some more effects that aren't installed on the computer?

nance,
i have picture it pub. plat. and for me, the cd does not have to be in the computer while you're using the program. if the program needs the cd, it will ask you for it. HTH
