Multiple pics on one 12x12 page PSP X

Hello...I am still very very new to digiscrapping but so far I really like it.
I'm using PSP X and am wondering how to add more photos to a page.
I usually File>open>then post the first picture on the page. But when I try to add a second picture on the same page, PSP just opens the pic and the background layer disappears.

What am I doing wrong?

Scrapbook-Bytes has a wonderful series of tutorials to help you learn to use PSP. Some of them are written for different versions but you should be able to work your way through them. Check these out:

Hi! I am trying to understand how it is you are adding multiple photo's to one image and where it is going wrong!

First we really need you to try use the correct teminology in describing what you are doing... example: "I usually File>open>then post the first picture on the page"

POST???? hehehehe Paste? So instead I will tell you the correct steps and if you follow them you should get all your photo's onto your LO!!

First open a new blank image 12x12 inches (or 3600x3600 pixels) and make sure it is 300 Pixels Per Inch. You can have either a white background or transparent.

Ok now find the photo's you want to use and just have them open in PSP in their own little images. You now have three 3 images open in your PSP workspace right?

Select (click on the title bar) the first photo you want to use and right click "COPY" now Select (click on the title bar) on your new blank image and right click "PASTE > PASTE AS NEW LAYER" now if you have your layers palette open you will see by doing it this way it adds a new layer with your photo on it ABOVE your empty layer.

Do this with the next photo and you will have three layers in your layer palette.

Now the thing to keep in mind if your photo's are a different resolution then 300 Pixels Per Inch they will either be smaller or larger then you wish. Either use the deform tool to enlarge them or resize them before you paste as new layer into your empty image.

By going through the tutorial list that Simplyred mentioned you will learn a lot about PSP and how to use the commands and tools correctly. Have fun and if you have questions please just ask!!

LOL This was my 5000th post to my most favorite site in the world!!! Yipeeeee!!!! hehehehehhe

My head is spinning right now.

I'll try to do this later and see if I can understand how to correctly follow your directions.

I'm a visual learner usually. Reading directions is harder for me. But thanks for your input. I really appreciate it!
