It's just my opinion but a picture on a LO without some type of journaling is not much different than a picture in a box to someone looking at it in the future.

I also like to read the stories about the LO's. Personally, I don't always add journaling because sometimes it's just a candid shot, or it is obvious, or the title explains it all.
Of course with resizing, you can't always read the journaling well in the gallery, especially the 'fine print'. I do always try to write a little something in the description about what was happening, even if it is just one line. Must say, that when I journal in Dutch, I don't always feel like literally translating it to English (especially with long stories).

I totally know what you mean. Sometimes the layout is self-explanatory, but sometimes, a bit of additional information would really help the layout to make sense. I almost always put a bit of additional information in the description area.

I like knowing the details of the photos, but even more so I love knowing the story behing why someone scrapped those photos or what inspired them to make that actual page.
