I'm using CS and i know it should work fine; But my photo is tiny compared to the layout - I did what you said and opened it and dragged it onto the layout and then moved it below.. but its tiny..

okay, I think it was the jpg I was using.. I'm still trying and having better luck with another photo.......

If you photo is really small when you drag it onto the page, then the photo probably has a small pixel number - I have tons like that from my first three digital cameras.

Before you add your photos, try reducing the size of the premade's png to maybe 8"x8" so that it will be better suited to the photos you have to work with.
