Printing at Walmart

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say that walmart did such a great job with my layout that I just printed. It was my first ever and I'm SO happy that it came out nicely. I had looked on the forums to see about sizing issues and such and what I ended up doing is making my LO 8x8 and then adding that to an 8x11 layer.
Now comes the question...should I cut the top and bottom off and just square it into a frame...(it's a gift)...? Any ideas on how to make an 8x8 fit into an 8x10 frame would be helpful!

Think creatively...cause I so can't come up with anything...lol

Thanks in advance

Attach it to a matching piece of cardstock with photo corners or photo safe glue. Or you could use one of the slot cutting tools I've seen in scrapbook stores.

My Mom made me frame my first Ezine layout for her, and in the leftover portion I wrote down the details for her so she didn't have to try and remember the info about the layout when she showed it to her friends. She simply has no idea what I do now, and how I could possibly chat with people from around the world.

I did see that the local walmart was carrying square frames now, but in the area where you find mirrors and such. 12x12, 10x10 and 8x8 I think?

Mounting corners, photo tabs or tape (all acid-free of course) would work. Ross and UHU both have glue sticks that are acid-free as well, but then it is stuck for good. All in all, it depends if you later want to drop the layout into an album, or if it will be staying in the frame. EK Success also has a temporary dot adhesive that holds items until you want to remove them (my fav from paper-scrapping days).

Maybe print out a coordinating paper from the kit and trim your LO photo to the 8 x8 size and mount on the paper so there would be a border at the top and bottom. That's what I do when I have a square LO going into rectangle album (but I do it before printing). If there isn't glass in the frame maybe adhere some real ribbon or trim at the areas where the LO and coordinating paper meet.
