About Magazine Submissions

You guys are really going to have to forgive my scrapbook ignorance, but I don't even know the name of most of the magazines out there. I have noted a couple through posts I have seen and yesterday I purchased my first ever magazine, Simple Scrapbooks. There were only two scrap magazines on the shelf at the time.

Is there a list somewhere of magazines and their web addresses?

So a few people have suggested that I should submit some of my layouts.

Do you have any special tips as to what to submit and where? Are there any magazines that are really supportive of CG layouts?
How many layouts to submit? I sent off a few layouts to Simple Scrapbooks Magazine for their Digital Layouts call but I wasn't sure if sending a ton of them was a good thing or a bad thing. Do you send the same layouts to more than one magazine, or do you send different ones to each?

Also...........is there any payback besides the "fame" and all the glowy gooey well deserved self pride you get from being published?

ok I read through the post below on publishing

and am still wondering if anyone knows of a list to all the places to submit. The rest of my questions pretty much seem to be covered already unless someone here sees something that could be added.

thanks

Maya-
I have only submitted at Simple Scrapbooks (SS) and Creating Keepsakes (CK). The websites are

http://creatingkeepsakes.com
http://simplescrapbooksmag.com

All the info about submitting is on their site.

I once heard (from someone on this list) to submit everything...although most people just submit their "best" stuff. Although you never know what they are looking for.

Good luck...and let us know if you get published!
