hallmark scrapbook studio

I have been using hallmark's scrapbook studio to do my pages. I downloaded some elements from this site and others to import into the program and even though they say they have transparent backgrounds in other programs in the hallmark program, once I import them, they have white backgrounds which makes them useless. Does anyone know how to correct this? I have been really into the digital scrapping so I am looking into getting photoshop, but for now I hope that there is a way to get around this. I have contacted seirra tech support also about this since it is their product, but I am anxious. Help!

I'm sorry, but your program does not support transparent backgrounds and there is no way to remove them within your program. There are going to be some great sales the day after Thanksgiving for some great programs. You might want to check into those.

as a quick fix, could you just use a white background for your page? or put the elements in a white area or on a white mat? i've not used it so i'm just guessing how you could work with the background here. Ü

thanks for the help

Thank you so much. I had been playing with all kinds of programs trying to figure out why the graphics wouldn't work. I can use them as long as the background is white, but a lot of the graphics that I have collected are vintage looking and white is so WHITE. But, I have thought about mayber printing on off white paper. I do have paint shop pro, and have been learning how to use it to create pages, but I haven't used this program very much and it is frustrating! All sugestions are greatly appreciated!
