Size difference in screen vs. print

Hi Everyone,

It's been ages since I've posted anything and hope you don't mind if I tap your collective wisdom. Here is my dilemna: Lately I've found that as I work with a layout on my 19" monitor I "feel" that my components and elements are all of sufficient size. Then, when I print the page out, the elements are actually much smaller than what I originally thought. So, what percent size to you view your layouts at on screen to get the correct perception? I wondered if anyone else has had this happen to them? Do many of you use the ruler in your software package?

TIA,

Mona

I absolutely use my ruler! I also view the entire page most of the time...and just zoom in when necessary...this gives me the whole picture of the page...not just little sections.

As a math teacher, I always, always, always think of the math first! so like Amanda, it means I too use my ruler. :-)
