I've been reading in the forum about Scraplifting, for someone new to the hobby will it be considered as scraplifting, if I made a page similar to what I saw in a Scrapbooking magazine?
If yes what are the ramifications?

Hi Maggie,

Personally I see scraplifting as a true form of flattery. If you do create a page similar to one you have seen- giving credit to the original designer is very appreciated. There really are no ramifications to scraplifting unless you are trying to seek publication. In most contracts the magazines send you they specifically state that the layout HAS to be your own original design.

When someone tries to p*** the design as their own and credit is not given- that is when the original creator might have a problem.

When you post your LO here there is spot for credits and that is where you would add the original designers name. If you don't know the name you can just state you can't remember.
