Help for the HTML challenged

OK... so I'm not REALLY HTML challenged, just have never done a link to download files before. What do I do? What tag do I use to tell it it's a download link and not a "go to" link?

Thanks again for the help! You all have been awesome!

what do you mean? if you add a link to the file on a server somewhere... you would just use the same code like: www.whatever.com/download.zip or am I misunderstanding?

Pesto is right. List the www part, then which folder, then the zip file. When they click the link, it will start the download process. If this is for the goodies you made this weekend, make sure you name is in each file name, and that you include a TOU.txt that includes your terms of use (no sharing or claiming your files as their own type of thing).

And Amy...looks like you caught the digital bug now
We are all so thrilled you decided to give it a try!

Thanks! I thought there might be a special trick to it. I'll give that a shot.

Yep... I think I might have the bug *cough cough*. Although, at this point, it might just be appealing to my "collector" side.

Looks like you figured it out? (was it the link in your signature?) website?
