I downloaded it and I played with it a little bit last night, but nothing serious. So tell me, what do you think of it? Have you had books done? Do tell!

Interesting.. I had not heard of this one before. I just created a custom poetry book for a client including my photographs using Blurb.. it was the most frustrating experience I've gone through software-wise in a long time. I had similar disappointment with mypublisher. The Blurb books are really nice with a full-color photographic slip cover for the same price as Picaboo... I will take a look at the software and see how it is.. hopefully, it is NOT java based like the others.

Ok.. here's my take of the good and the bad..

Bad - always connected to their network.. not a major issue - I just don't like being connected until I'm ready to deliver the book.

Bad - software froze continually trying to load Red_Cloth_Die_Picaboo.png.... had to restart everytime. Not good!

Good - Many nice templates included with the software

Bad - no text based templates are available for creating something like a poetry of blog based book

So.. I couldn't evaluate it completely because it wouldn't load the software correctly. Could be an issue with how it downloads stuff from their network. I'll try again another time.. for now - I'm not impressed!
