MyPublisher users help!

Okay, not 'help this is an emergency', but I need some input.
I ordered and received my first book from them. Over all I am impressed with the quality, except for a couple of lower-res pictures which didn't enlarge well.

Anyway, I need to know about your pages. I know there's at least one person out there (don't remember who!!) who uses MP for all of her books. My question is this: If I'm scrapping at 12x9, the MP book size, why can't I have that layout dropped directly on to the single photo page? I can do it with pictures, all the way to the edges of the page. But with layouts it tells me that the resolution isn't high enough and that I need to reduce the size. Frustrating thing is that my layouts turned out PERFECTLY and could have been full sized, but the single photo page with a photo turns out a grainy picture, yet it doesn't give me a warning about resolution. ?????? Can anyone enlighten me?

My layouts are always 300dpi. That's why I'm wondering about it! I made them 300dpi and sized for the pages (actually I guess that's just a tad large, but with autofit it should fit perfectly. But what I get is a red box around it, and a message telling me that my resolution isn't high enough for the page. BUT THEN I put a picture, which is 4x6 300dpi as a full page image and even though it ISN'T great resolution to be enlarged that much, it doesn't give me that error message? It doesn't make sense.

Can anyone shed some light?

I don't have specific experience with them.. but I have tried to use their software to create a poetry book for a client.. I gave up after about 10 minutes. I found a number of problems with the software that leads me to believe it just is not programmed very well. I had similar issues when I created the book using Blurb's software.. it was better - but still had issues. Good Luck with this one - I would imagine it is just a strange bug in the software.

Yep, that's what I'm afraid of. I also downloaded Picaboo, to see what that's like. I played around with it for a bit last night, and I think it just might work out. I am impressed with the book I got back from MP though!
