I am so close so so close a dell XPS 410 or an imac 20". I learned how to use photoshop 4.0 on pc. I have read that although there is PSE 4.0 version for mac's, but it does not work well because the system has to translate all the code to mac os, so it takes tons of time. Is that so?

Please opinions suggestions from users of both, perhaps.

I use Photoshop CS2, not PSE 4, but I can tell you that Adobe products work very well under the mac os. My experience is that they work better on the mac than on windows machines. Don't be afraid of buying a mac.
