On those photo tumblers does anyone know if they are waterproof or do you have to take the photo insert out everytime you wash it? What are they called at Scrap Girls? I would love to see the template, but couldn't find it. My mom works at Oriental Trading and she said the tumblers from there aren't waterproof. I would really like to find waterproof tumblers if anyone knows where to get them.

Here is what 've found with the tumblers-including the ones from Oriental Trading:

They are water-resistant. What that means is that you can't toss them in a sink full of dishes to soak or throw them in the dishwasher. They need tobe washed by hand. But it's really simple and n big deal. You DO NOT remove the inserts, just swipe the inside and ourside with a soapy cloth and rinse carefully. Done! Only if you soak them ill the water seep up under the rim, and the plastic simply cannot withstand the dishwasher's heat. I really have loved every one I've had!

Interesting thread!
Last year, I designed calendars (for family) and mousepads (for friends) as gifts.

I may do the calendar again for family but I like the photo tile idea too. I may also try to decorate some candles. I don't make them from scratch. I'm planning to buy plain ones then just decorate them. I bought a pack for sticker paper and will try it with a sample before finally deciding.

I've got plans... but for now, that's all they are - PLANS! I hope they become actual gifts before Christmas comes.
