Can You Convince me!!

O.K. - I am up for being convinced as to whether or not to buy a graphics tablet. I would like feedback as to how much those of you that have one, use it for scrapping pages only, and for those of you that use it to design kits, how useful is it? I am considering buying one but am torn as to whether I really need one. I am considering making my own papers and a few elements, and possibly, possibly making kits to share with others - and who knows, even later sell, although I doubt it. I love doodling and drawing!

Convince me !!

Holly

if you even think you might want to use it to design, I would suggest the Intuos since it UM it ROCKS
You can do more than just doodle though, consider it another scrapping 'tool' if you will.
Convince you?? HMM check out my blinkie LOL
You can check out the Which Tablet is best for you. this will help you decide

Even if you never gonna make your own graphics...buy a tablet !
I haven´t used the mouse for months. No more pain in my hand/arm !!
It´s great, and you can use it for everything.

I love my tablet! It is wonderful when you need to do very detailed work (like extracting a person out of the picture), it is fun to doodle, or you can even journal in your own handwriting! I say get one!

I think if my situation were different I would like my tablet a lot more. I have my computer set up in the living room with my monitor bolted to an end table. I work with my keyboard in my lap and my mouse on the sofa cushion next to me while I sit on the couch. This is all so I can be out in the world with my boys even when I'm on my computer instead of holed up in the office. They're often in my lap or snuggled up between me and my mouse arm. So...for that reason, my tablet rarely ever gets used. If I were at a desk with a more solid work space I'd probably use it all the time.

I use it for design but i use it for photoeditng quite a bit - particularly for extractions or touching up - its a lot more precise with teh tablet and pen than teh mouse. Ionly have a Wacom Graphire 6x8 but i find its plenty for what i need

I've had my Wacom Graphire 6x8 for about 3 years now. It takes a while to get use to the mouse and even longer for the pen. But I only use the pen for photo editing. For what I use it for, the 6x8 is all I need.

My tablet was one of the best purchases I ever made. I love it! I have the Intuos 4x5, it's plenty big enough for me. ( I have limited space anyway ) It took a bit of getting used to but not too much for me. I don't use a mouse at all anymore,it's just more natural for me to go with the pen. I use a lot of masks and brushes and the difference between the pen and mouse...BIG ( and I didn't think I was too shabby with a mouse LOL ).
