HeLP mE PleaSE!!!!

Ok.. im not a beginner and i don't think this is even scrapbooking related..

My son today was pushing some buttons. I spent several days making my desktop look just right, and i was quiet pleased with it.. i really am.. So here is the deal before... where all my icons were all lined up.. my icons looked normal. All that was there was the writing under the icon.

Now he has gone and pushed some button on something a now the background color is visable. so it looks like each icon is highlighted, (a blue highlight box around the text of each icon)

So my question is.. how do i remove that.. i want it to go back to transparent, no color boxes there..

As silly as this is, its annoying because i cant figure it out, and i have been sitting here for 2 hours trying to do it.. apparently im being a little anal retentive.. but still its just nagging me..

thanks if anyone can help!!!!

Hey Jess,
Have you tried rebooting? Or right click on your desktop and click on refresh or another choice to display them differently. Or check out the settings in your control panel. Sorry if this doesn't help, haven't had that happen to me, but I know how frustrating it can be to not be able to figure something out.

Right click on your desktop and select "properties". Now click on the Appearance Tab. At the bottom right click on Advanced. I think you should be able to fix it there.
