Yes this question has been asked before but I'm still not getting it as in understanding directions. OKay I have PSP and I've taken the overlay and pasted it as a new layer then tried to play with the transpancy level..nothing happened. All I have is just my background up right now so not to get confused with other layered images. Would someone mind doing a tut on this and also please help me out here.

what version of psp are you using? I have versions 9 and 6. I can't get transparencies to work on 6, but they do work on 9.

when I use an overlay (a transparency someone else created), I don't fiddle with the transparency effects, i just stick it on top of the layer I want and leave it alone. when i want to turn a paper into transparency then I put it over the layer I want and move the transparency number up and down till i like it. I'm not sure how to explain it, i'm a psp newbie too.
