Passports

Every passenger (children included) must have a passport for this cruise. Due to new regulations that will take effect Jan 1, 2007, you will not be allowed to travel out of the United States without a passport.

Gratuities

Gratuities are not prepaid. The recommended amount is $10 per person per day ($40.00). This is, of course, at your discretion. It is added to your account upon arriving at the ship and you can either leave it on your account or remove it and pay what you want at the end of the cruise.

Payment Guidelines

For Inside and Ocean View with two people in the cabin-
Deposit is $50.00 per person.
For Mini-Suites and Suites-
Deposit is $150.00 per person

If you have a 3rd or 4th person in your cabin, your deposit amount is also $150.00 per person (same guidelines as the suites)

9/22/2006

2nd installment is due. Each person must have a total of $200.00 on the books. If you have put down $50.00 then you need to put an additional $150.00. If you are in a suite and you’ve already put down $150.00, you need an additional $50.00.

11/22/06

Final payment is due. This can be done by credit card, cash or check.

Cancellations

If you cancel between 12/04/06 and 01/02/07 each person will lose $150.00
If you cancel between 01/03/07 and 01/24/07 each person will lose 50% of the cruise fare.
If you cancel 01/25/07 or later- you will lose your entire cruise fare.

Carnival offers an insurance policy that is low cost and is highly recommended to avoid cancellation penalties. You can cancel up to the day of sailing without penalty. Call for details and pricing on insurance.

Sonya,
Yes- you can sit together. Our whole group will be sitting around the same tables- depending on whether you chose early or late dining.

Wow, wish I could go, but no way could I afford that!

A friend just got back from a cruise, it was a package deal and since it WAS a package deal, they thought it was just that. Turns out package deals don't cover everything. They got off the boat and she, her mom, sister and neice were presented with a $4000 bill. She said it was a good thing her sister had enough room on her card to cover it! Kelly had no idea that was going to happen and said there were A LOT of people who didn't because the cruise line doesn't warn you about it. Not saying that will happen here by any means, just yakking really. LOL!

AmyShell,
That is a BIG bill. My husband and I have been on several on this cruise line and I think our biggest bill was about $300- and that was including the gratuitites- which I mentioned above. It also included a $100 outfit I bought in the store because I was cold. The rest was alcohol. It really depends on how much you drink, gamble and shop- because that stuff is not included. It sounds like her travel agent didn't inform her about what was included and what wasn't. It sounds like a $4000 bill was a REALLY good time!! So- if you are thinking that that is what you will spend- I really doubt it- you would be to drunk to scrap- LOL! The cruise fare is only $355 - which is cheap because of the time of year. If you do an excursion in Cozumel- that's extra because it's not part of the ship. I don't ever do them, I just walk around and shop. Believe me- I don't let my Sail and Sign get out of hand and I keep tabs on it through out the cruise to see what the balance is.

All the cruises I've ever heard of cover everything except shopping, tips, alcohol and gambling. The one cruise I went on made this very clear. We were presented with a bill that we had to sign everytime something was being charged to our card. They don't just do it without your consent. Yes, a $4000 bill is huge!!! I can't imagine what all that would be! Phew they must have had fun!! And you can get a breakdown of your bill at anytime by going to the front desk so you can see what you're 'up' to.
