Okay, what does it say about me when I have more LOs of my cats than my son!!! LOL - Same as everyone else has said - need to scan his pictures but I can just snap my fur babies. Great thread - interesting responses.

Totally guilty. My youngest likes to pose for photos and is more expressive than my middle child (whose two expressions right now are sulk and pout, btw). My oldest (and my only boy) is very into goofy looks. I tend to scrap what inspires me, so my middle child isn't getting a lot of attention lately...

I SO relate. I have been trying really hard lately to spread the love and do more boy layouts. It's hard though since I am trying to use a few elements here and there lately and girl elements are SO much easier lol.

Well....this has actually been a huge issue in my house. When my son, who is my second child, was young, he went through the house and counted all of his sister's pictures and then all of his. My dd had more and he was then convinced that we didn't love him as much as her. I tried to calm his fears with the fact that when he was born his sister was still in diapers and I was just really busy (and exhausted!) to think as much about it. He was not convinced. So that's when I started scrapbooking and I started with his book from pre-birth through Jr. High. When I started it he would look at it all the time, then we reached High School and now, well let's just say that to get him to sit for a picture is excruciating! I made a layout using pictures of peoples eyes (had just found my macro mode on my new digitall camera) and when I went through my pictures I pulled his out right away. If you would like to take a look at it here's the link:

I think that you will be able to figure out which picture is my son's eye right
away. If not I'll give you a hint...upper right!
Now I can do any pictures that I want..grandkids, dogs, flowers, even eyes. It's all ok except don't take his picture! Go figure!

guilty guilty guilty!!! that is so funny amy!! i did not realize you also had a son, i did only think you just had olivia!!!!
of my 7 children, i must say that the last two are the bulk of my layouts. the girls run a close secon and my oldest daughter i think has more layouts than my younger daughter. my oldest son is 17 and doesn't live with me so that's why no one has ever seen him. but as for the other two boys, i am finding that as they get older i find them harder to scrap, unless it is a sports page. it's just easier for me to scrap the babies! i will work on changing that though...

I have 2 nephews and everyone always teases me that I must favor the younger one when in reality the younger just love getting his picture taken. So I think it depends on the child's personality.

My older nephew has made this observation and I've reminded him that he never wants his picture taken.

The biggest criticism that I get from MIL is I have too many pics of the dog!

I think a lot of people are guilty of this

and you can have all boys and have non-equal numbers. I have 3 boys. Unfortunately, the baby has the most layouts done. Why? Because I get the most pictures of him where he is just too adorable to not scrap. The older the child, the less likely I am to get on a whim pictures -- their pictures are more specialized events (karate tournaments, karate tests, programs, birthdays, etc). I just can't get them to let me follow them around with the camera like the baby, ya know. I try to do a layout of each child, even if it means I have 3 started at a time. At least that way, I don't get the "when are you going to do a layout of me?" That stings just as much sometimes.
