Paper layouts make belive

Ladies, I want my digital scrapbook to have some of the feelings of paper layouts. Can you give me ideas what kind of things to add or things to do? You know, the things that when you look at a layout you can't tell what kind it is! I'v noticed over-lapping and layering is one thing. Any others you can think of?

I always tend to try for a "paper look" A couple of tips: Just "build" your page as you would a paper one. Layering things on one at a time. Watch the sizes of things like staples, and eyelets. If the embellishments look out of proportion, they will stick out like a sore thumb.

agreed with all above! Shadows.... change their depth, etc. depending on the item and size; but that is the KEY! Let us know if you have any questions! What program do you use? I have all my scrapbooking shadows saved as presets as well for myself (ie: small element, large photo, small photo, paper matting, etc.)
