Resizing Question

Hi there,

I use PSP 8, and I always use a large space to work with but when I resize it, it looks yukky.

Any suggestions?

LOL hmm!! Was very late last night when I posted this...

What I want to do is upload some LO here, but it has to be a certain size, how do I resize it without losing quality?

Does that make sense?

That makes WAY more sense! LOL! Glad you got some sleep!

I use Photoshop, but I'd bet the process is the same for PSP8 -

Save a copy of your file with all the layers intact. Then flatten it, and change the image size to 72 dpi (Good enough for the web, but the file should be at least 300 dpi for printing). Go to File, then choose Save for web. For me, there is a number in the bottom left hand corner that shows the compressed file size, and a slider in the upper right showing the quality - I usually save for web around 50-75 quality, depending on how big that makes the file size. The bigger the number of quality is better, of course.

Then save the file as a different name (I save them as "webXXXdate"). Then come here, click on Upload photos and find your web optimized image.

Go back to your original file, and close it without saving changes.

If I confused you even more, I apologize. If this isn't the way its done in PSP8, I apologize. If there is a way easier way to do it, I am sure someone will post here!

Yes thanks, that sounds pretty much the same. I am gonna give it a try, and if I still cannot do it in PSP, I will just take it into PS7.
Thanks for your help!!!
