dpi vs ppi

Just wondering if there is a difference in dpi (dots per inch) and ppi (pixels per inch) and how the one translates into the other.

Did that question make sense? lol!

they are NOT the same thing. PPI refers to screen resolution, and DPI refers to print resolution.
