Distressing

How is it done? Is it a brush? Is it 'worn frames' kinda thing? I'm trying to figure out how to distress or ink edges. I just need to know if it's a brush or something else so I know what to search for. TIA

Distressing can happen so many different ways that it can be....distressing! LOL. Been waiting for that opportunity! Seriously, digital distressing can happen with brushes, erasers, overlays, filters, actions or a combination of all of the above. Perhaps you can be more specific with your question?

LOL Dianne is SO right...I found distressing pretty hard to do without being too repeating patterned looking...you just have to play around with the brushes to get the edges inked and distressed the way you want them So if you are using Paint Shop Pro, look for some grungy PSP brushes and the same for PhotoShop, look for grungy PS brushes. You can also erase part of the brushes - make sure you put them on a separate layer...makes it easier to choose the brush you want to erase part of. I have a large list of brush links on my site if you'd like to start surfing there...reminder though, most are for personal use, and the brush creators like you to link back to their site in your layout description if you are posting them in a gallery Here's the page on my site: http://www.ajoyfulheart.com/pspphoto...hresources.htm Happy surfing!!

I think I meant more of the inking look, just the blackened around the edges look. I'm very new at this I'm using PSP so I will have a look at your site, Jenn.

If it's just for your personal pages, then just a grungy PSP brush should work...and as Lauren said, you can also purchase inked overlays and just **** those over your papers and layouts. I'm going to PM you a link to a freebie one that you may want to check out
