To be serious, it all depends on the price you can get this package for and the amount that you want to spend. I have been a devoted hp photo printer user since the darn things became available, and love their quality and longevity. I would like to add, that for close to the value posted for the camera, you could get a much better quality Canon with an optical zoom. Now I have never tried the hp cameras, but the zoom factor is really important for me when taking pictures. Hopefully some M22 owners will jump in and tell you more about the camera, and how they like it.

there are a couple factors you need to consider when going digital.

1. how big are you planning on making your images
the more pixels you have the clearer the image will be when you inlarge the photo

2. what type of photo shots are you going to be taking (ie. close ups, long range, still, action)
some cameras have settings for these types of shots and others do not
most now a days do so it will really depend on the range of the photo (zoom lens)

I personally have found that HP camera's can be a bit confusing for a beginner... my mother had one and was a royal pain... but once you use it a while it is tooooooo bad

The printers i currenly own a HP that i picked up for about $40 and it prints to the same specs the one you selected. Other than it prints the pages slightly slower. In my experience the speed really affects the price so if your willing to be patient a slower printer may save you a little.

sorry not much help but maybe this information will help you make your decision

I wouldnt recommend the camera - it says it only has digital zoom not optical which basically means no zoom - digital zoom is useless.
This article on choosing a digital camera might help you http://scrapbook-bytes.com/cgi-scrip...icle_323.shtml

I can't comment on the camera as I have only owned Canon cameras. I'm a Canon person all the way; camera, printer, scanner are all Canon.

As far as the printer goes, I'm not a fan of "All-In-One" equipment. The only thing they have going for them is they are space saving. They put cheap components in All-In-One equipment. You will have much better equipment if you buy individual items; i.e., only buy a printer and if you want a scanner, buy just a scanner. JMO

Thank you for the link Shelleyrae i will go and have a look

Rae. I have a all in one printer right now and once i figured out how to use it LOL i have realy enjoyed it. I do need an all in one not as much for the scanning but for the copying. It has been a life saver not having to run to the copy store ALLLLLLL the time.

Thank you for the info. I think i will hold off and try to learn more before i buy somthing.

My cousin has the printer you're referring to. The prints look great. Do you have a Fry's near you? They always have great refurbished printers. The last time I've gone in they had a lot of great deals on the all-one-printers. I've been very happy with my refurbished Canon 6600D - with rebate it was only $40...then again I'm still waiting for the rebate...LOL.
