PSE is a light version of PS. It has great capabilities...but I found that some things that I wanted in a program as a scrapper it didn't have like it doesn't have the align and distribute feature, actions, paths, saving layer styles, a lot of text options, brush pallette, swatches, just to name a few.

Elements only allows you to have a limited amount of layers were at in PS 7 it s unlimited.

Really? I had no idea! I used PSE for quite a while and never ran out of layers even in some of my complicated layouts. Interesting!
