i can try to help, but i don't have corel. if you search in the gallery for kim though, she's very god with corel.
some people just draw their fiber or ribbon to the eyelet and through or back. then just erase the part that would be behind the eyelet (if it were real). does that make sense?
i usually use two layers. one in front of the eyelet and one behind it. i draw with my paintbrush a line that goes just into the eyelet center. then on another layer behind it, i draw a line coming out of the center.
or if you use elements like the fibers shared here, just insert them into your layout, then erase what should be behind it. and you can copy it and have two layers if you wish.
