? about using downloaded frames

Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and new to digi scrappin'. I thought I'd just try a simple thing but realzied I have no idea what I'm doing. I downloaded one of the elements, a frame, from this site. I have PSCS and the frame automatically goes to Image Ready. I have no idea how to use this frame with a photo. Is there somewhere on this site for this kind of tutorial? Thanks so much!

When you go to open the frame open it using the open option in the file drop-down menu instead of double clicking it from outside the program. For some reason your settings on your computer open that particular file in image ready instead of photoshop.

Go to the folder that has all your scrapping supplies (ie: frame) right click it. Go to properties. Then click change and then a pop up with all your programs will show. Scroll to photoshop and click on it. Press okay. Now all your photos should open in PSCS.

Now to use the frame. Most elements will be in PNG format. With this you can select all and copy then take it to your LO and paste. Another way to do this is to select your arrow tool and drag it to the LO.

Hope this answers you question.

I still can't figure out how to use this within pscs. When I open it in PSCS, its a big white box and its askingme to set it as a preset. I don't get it???

Which frame is it? Then one of us can have a look and see if the problem is with the file or at your end.

I don't think its a problem with the frame, as when I tried to open another file I downloaded from here, its the same thing. It opens as a white square.
