CANON I9900 & SCANMAKER 9800XL HELP!!!!!

I have tried everything I know to do, including contacting Microtek and Canon....neither of which knew anymore than I did and suggested that I "find that board you were on and ask them how to do it!"

My Problem: CANNOT GET THE CORRECT SETTINGS INPUT IN THE CANON SOFTWARE TO PRINT MY 12x12 scans with NO WHITE BORDER. Does anyone know what settings I should be using on the printer and also, I'm using generic card stock to print out copies of my original 12x12 scapbook pages. (I use the above scanner to scan 12x12).

I have tried virtually ever possible paper media, borderless, no borderless, exact size , etc. etc.etc. PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME...I AM DESPERATE! I have over 50 pages I have got to scan tonight and have printed out perfectly by tomorrow afternoon.

Kathryn....thx for replying. I woke up this morning just knowing the answer would be right here waiting for me. I have 4 little nieces that are going to be so disappointed this afternoon. I finished pulling out what little hair I had left last night! Thanks again for at least replying. That was my first post ever to a scrapbooking board.

Oh, my son lives in San Diego too I was out there in August for a week.

Sorry to say i can't help either but I would like to know how you like the scanner. I want to buy a 'large format scanner to archive my books and put the disks in our safe deposit box. My purchase after that will be a printer that can print 12 x 12 pages since now I have to send away to get them printed. What printer do do have & do you recommend it?
Thanks

Suzette, I have the canon i9900 so maybe I can help, although you probably won't like my answer.

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to print your 12x12 layouts onto 12x12 paper without a border, right? If so, the canon i9900 is unable to print borderless on 12x12 paper and canon does not make 12x12 paper. When I want to print out a 12x12, I do so on 13x19 canon paper and just trim it down.

Maybe somebody else has a solution or a way to make the canon i9900 print a borderless 12x12? Actually, I do recall some thread about this quite awhile ago, but I also remember that I was unable to get my printer to do it.

I love both! I finally figured out how to print a borderless 12x12 on the i9900 without having to trim. All I do is change the margin setup to .5 and it works beautifully! NO WHITE BORDER!!! (I'm not sure how, but it does). I am using 12x12 card stock white paper. No name brand.

I scanned in 55 original scrapbook pages then made the print and put together the same exact scapbook for my neice. You can hardly tell that her pages are copies and not the originals! Now I make a copy of every page my neices or I make

Thank you both for replying.
