Just have fun with it Kelly! I am the mother of 4 - who are 9, 3, 1 and 2 weeks old lol. Taking those little bits of time through the day is ideal. ...oh and ignore the housework! No one ever notices if you dusted or not but they sure will notice your great layouts!!

I think its easy to get distracted when looking through downloads, kits, pictures, and trying to plan projects. It can be a huge timewaster, although also very fun.

My tips is just to make one page at a time. Start with a photo or set of photos you want to scrap, pick out something fast and easy to find to go with it, and go from there.

Another thing I like to do is follow a tutorial to learn a new technique and quickly pick photos that will work with it. I try to keep everything VERY simple so I can get a page done. Once I learned how to make my own background paper from a color in my photo, I have found I can make a layout very fast when I want to.

The easiest way for me to get started is to scraplift. It takes me forever and I just stare at the screen, but if I have a layout to copy, I'm done in no time. Plus, like Gina said, I leave my laptop on and my layout open on the screen and I'm back and forth ALL day. My laptop sits right in my living room in the middle of the chaos! Also, like ShellyRae said- who cares about housework!!!

i wanted to ditto those who leave their computer on and work on things thruout the day....i tend to do that too, then once my DD is down for the night, i can sit and actually spend some time on a given project!

DH works shiftwork so when he is on the 10pm-6am shift I stay up late after the kids are in bed and "play". I'm a SAHM (in between volunteering at the school) so when DH is sleeping the day away and the kids are at school I get lots of time then too. I know it's harder for those who work outside the home or who have little ones to look after. I guess nap time is a good time to get a little scrapping in though.

Smile Finding time to scrap

Although I'm single, I don't have much time to scrap as I have a full-time job and am also training to be a Methodist local preacher, taking services etc. Basically my policy is, don't get stressed because you can't fit in the scrapping. After all, scrapping is meant to be a pleasure and an escape from the pressures of everyday life, not a chore. Just wait until the time and inspiration come together and then you'll enjoy it that much more. That's what I love about digital scrapping, when it's time to stop you can just save what you've done so far and leave it until the next convenient time, no materials to pack away or anything like that.
Happy scrapping!

I think everyone else here pretty much has it covered, but I wanted to add just one little thing. I found that I too wanted big chunks of time to get things done, but since I started scrapping when my DS was born (and he was never much of a long sleeper during the day), that never happened! I think the sooner I accepted that it wouldn't happen and that I just had to scrap in bits and pieces whenever I could, it made it a lot easier!
